Newborn is a small rural community located in Newton County,GA. First known as Sandtown, the name
was changed to Newborn sometime around 1839.
Though small, the town is home to several unique and
interesting farm businesses. Nigerian Dwarf goats are raised for sale at Cabin Creek Farms. Crystal Organic Farm grows organic vegetables
that go to places like Whole Food Market and even top Atlanta restaurants such
as Bacchanalia and Rathburns. And
finally, Johnston Family Farm is a dairy farm that you can visit to purchase
products such as whole milk, 2% milk, skim milk, chocolate milk, buttermilk,
cream and half & half – all of which is produced directly on the farm.
