Hiawassee is located in northeast Georgia in between the neighboring towns of Blairsville and Clayton.  It is the county seat of Towns County and its name comes from the Cherokee word Ayuhwasi, which means meadow.

There are many fun and exciting things to do in and around Hiawassee.  It is home to The Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds which plays host to several popular annual events including the Georgia Mountain Fair, the Superstar Concert Series, the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival and Georgia's Official State Fiddlers' Convention.  Fishermen can take delight in the Hiwassee River, which has been called 'the hidden jewel of trout fishing.'  Local art can be found at the Artworks Artisan Center.  Other places of interest in the surrounding area include Brasstown Bald, Lake Chatuge, Vogel State Park and the Appalachian Trail.

Young Harris is located in northeast Georgia in between the neighboring towns of Blairsville and Hiawassee.  It is the largest city in Towns County and is also home to Young Harris College.

There are many fun and exciting things to do in and around Young Harris.  Rollins Planetarium is located on the Young Harris College campus and offers Friday night star shows that are open to the public.  Brasstown Valley Resort is located just a few miles from downtown featuring an equestrian center, spa and restaurant. Animal lovers can visit Destiny Alpacas where they can interact with the alpacas as well as purchase alpaca products.  Other places of interest in the surrounding area include Brasstown Bald, Lake Chatuge, Vogel State Park and the Appalachian Trail.

Blairsville is located in northeast Georgia in between the neighboring towns of Young Harris and Blue Ridge.  It is the county seat of Union County and also is the only incorporated community in the county.

The quaint town square hosts many shops and restaurants and also is frequently the venue for annual events such as the Downtown Spring Arts and Crafts Festival, the Memorial Day Parade, the Green Bean Festival, the Bluegrass Festival, the Sorghum Parade, Hometown Halloween on the Square, and the Christmas Parade.

 There are many fun and exciting things to do in and around Blairsville.  Meeks Park, Lake Nottely, Nottely River, Helton Creek Falls, the Appalachian Trail, Brasstown Bald, and the Chattahoochee National Forest are a few of the most well-known attractions.  There are also many campgrounds in the area; Vogel State Park, Trackrock, Nottely River and Poteete Creek are just a few of the more popular ones.  Golfers can enjoy three challenging courses that include Butternut Creek, Old Union and Brasstown Valley Resort.

Athens, GA is an area that Pianos In Tune, LLC visits frequently for piano tuning, piano repair and piano maintenance.

Athens is located in northeast Georgia in Clarke County.  It is Georgia's sixth largest city and since incorporating with Clarke County in 1991, is now officially known as "Athens-Clarke County".

The city is most famous for being the home of The University of Georgia as well as the UGA Bulldogs college football team.  Both Fran Tarkenton and Herschel Walker are famous former UGA Bulldog football team members.  The UGA Performing Arts Center houses all of the university's fine arts departments, including the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, the Lamar Dodd School of Art, the UGA Department of Dance and the UGA Deparment of Theatre and Film Studies.

Music and the arts enjoy a very high profile among the city's many non-UGA entertainment offerings.  The Athens Symphony performs three or more times each year in the award winning The Classic Center.  The Georgia Theatre, a standing room only venue, hosts many performances each year for fans of both Rock and Indie styles of music.

Did you know that Jonesboro, GA is the fictional setting for "Tara" in Margaret Michell's book "Gone With the Wind"?  As a matter of fact, the Mitchell family designated Jonesboro/Clayton County as the official home of "Gone With the Wind" in 1969.  In addition to that title, Jonesboro is also the county seat of Clayton County.  The city was originally named "Jonesborough" and during the Civil War served as the battleground for the final skirmish of the Atlanta Campaign.

Statham, GA

 The area now known as Statham, GA saw its first white settlers in 1784 who eventually purchased land from Creek and Cherokee Indians for 14 pounds of beads and was originally given the name "Beadland".  The town Statham was incorporated in 1892 and named after the owner of the only building (the Post Office), M.J.C. Statham.  From that point in time, Statham grew into a bustling commercial hub by 1904 and enjoyed several years of economic prosperity until the Great Depression hit in 1929.

Now Statham has gained great popularity as a bedroom community to Athens and to a lesser degree, Atlanta.  Athens, by the way, was recently named by CNN as one of the "Best Places to Retire in 2012".

If you ever find yourself in or passing through Statham and have some time on your hands, be sure to visit the town's three antique boutiques; Second Hand Rose Antique and Marketplace, Along the Line Antiques and Factory Antique Mall.  And if you're hungry, Michaels Pizza and Old House Restaurant are nearby to satisfy your appetite as well providing a place to take a load off your feet for a while.
